Why your air‑con
might need a regas
A car's air conditioning system doesn't just run out of gas. If your air-con isn't cold it's usually because there's a leak, a failed component, or the refrigerant has degraded over time.
Leaks
A worn O-ring, split hose or damaged evaporator core lets refrigerant escape. We measure pressures and add UV dye to trace the leak.
Component failure
When a part fails, the system has to be evacuated and refilled to spec.
Old gas
R134a doesn't last forever. Even leak-free systems lose efficiency as the gas and oil age and absorb moisture.
Safety and environment
R134a is a potent greenhouse gas and must be recovered by a licensed technician.

Whats involved in a regas?
Removing and measuring the gas in the air conditioning system, checking the system for leaks, regassing and testing function of the air-con.
What does air con mean?
air conditioning specifically relates to the cooling side of the air coming from your vents in your car, not the air flow, not the heating side or the position of the air flow. It directly relates to how cold the air is coming from the vents with the A/C button turned onIf you're unsure whether your job falls into this category, get in touch and we'll point you in the right direction.
